Mmorpg Online Games

General Overview of the EVE Online Game That Your Friends are Playing by Tom Kranz
You may or may not have heard about an Mmo called EVE Online. It’s a very interesting game to play and if you’re new you could probably use a brief overview. I say brief because the EVE Online Game is so large, and there is so much to cover. Indeed it would take several hours to cover it all, but we’ll try to cover the absolute basics.
The first one is a question on many players’ minds. What is the EVE Online game and what can you do in it? EVE Online is a Mmorpg set in space, you are a pilot, you have a ship, and a whole galaxy to play in. That’s the only thing about The Game that’s concrete.
The main appeal of EVE Online is that you don’t have to follow any given path. You can undertake the single player campaign, or ignore it completely. You can choose an individual class, or make your own from a mixing of skills. The point here is player freedom, and you are free to do whatever you want. There are repercussions for some actions though.
The best thing about the EVE Online game is that no one can attack you in a secured system with a rating of 0.4 to 1.0 and get away with it. These systems are policed by the games AI security force called concord. They defend the vital in game installations, and have sentry guns at the stations and stargates. Stargates are the main method of transportation between systems.
If you try to smuggle illegal goods, have a bounty on your head, and try to fight other players in these protected systems you will have the law come after you. In addition to waiting for you at the gates they will also issue a bounty for your ships destruction. This can be viewed by everyone in the system and is announced through the system broadcast chat window. Everyone will know you broke the law, and they all have a green light to take you down.
The moral of this story is don’t do bad things and get caught in the EVE Online game. There are various other ways to make money though. You can be a trader, miner, bounty hunter, or even work for concord. You don’t have to resort to nefarious purposes but the option is there. You also have access to the marketplace and can make a bundle buying and selling parts
This method of making money takes time, but those that are patient and can understand the games economics can become very rich. The games economy does fluctuate from time to time. This is mainly because of corporation wars, and available supplies. What you do can in fact affect the world around you.
So when spending time in the EVE Online game it’s important to remember the following. Don’t go into low security space unless you are prepared, don’t attack any police officers, and don’t steal other people’s ore. Mining is always a good way to kill time and make money. Finally remember that you are the one that dictates how much fun you can have, it’s your account so enjoy it.
